Sinjajevina, viewed by the area it covers, is the largest and widest mountain of Montenegro. In the Tarsko-Pivski plateau, besides Durmitor, there is a mountain massif of Sinjajevina. While Durmitor has become a true tourist mecca, especially hiking, due to its alpine form, Sinjajevina remained aside, unknown and unvisited. The main reason for this is its vast expanse of monotonous landscapes – karst fields and shelves, mild slopes of innumerable heads covered with grass.
The mountain beauty of Sinjajevina besides the impressive peaks is enriched by beautiful lakes, above all Zabojsko Lake, located close to the Tara canyon. Zabojsko Lake is located at 1477 m, its surface is 27,500 square meters, length 265 m, breadth 165 m, and a maximum depth is 19 m. The Sinjajevina area, besides mountaineering, offers great opportunities for mountain biking and Nordic skiing.
