Canyons are natural water parks, carved into stone and located in the wilderness. One of the attractive canyons in Montenegro is the amazing Drenovštica Canyon. The canyon is about 2,5 km long and has a number of waterfalls, whirls and passages made by the water.

15 Min Before Canyoning Time
Imagine yourself in the heart of an amazing canyon, diving into the turbulent waves, descending down the cliffs and waterfalls through meter wide narrow passages. Drenovštica Canyon is great for everyone from adults to families. It’s located just a few minutes from the centre of Budva, which makes it a perfect half-day activity if you stay there.
In addition to walking through water and swimming, this canyoning involves going down a rope and jumping off rocks, so it is also recommended for family groups. There are lots of fun spots for jumping into rock pools and rock slides down the waterfalls, as well as some challenging rappels down waterfalls.
We’ll meet about 5 – 10 minutes before departing time in the centre of Budva (at the bus stop for tourist and excursion buses on the Mediteranska street, across from Voli Supermarket), or according to the agreement for a “welcome meeting”.
Arriving in front of the canyon, the starting point for canyoning Drenovštica. Equipping participants with canyoning sneakers, canyoning belts, helmets, neoprene suits, and neoprene socks. Your adventure begins with a short introduction and safety procedures led by your guide/skipper.
The first encounter with Drenovštica will take your breath away with its beauty. The tour starts. It starts here and passes through the canyon lasts about 3 hours on average.
During the canyoning, we will make 1-2 breaks where participants receive refreshments, take photos etc.
We get out of the canyon and take off the equipment and have a short break.
The return journey to the meeting place, or under the program. Our journey along the coast of the Budva Riviera takes about ten minutes, with spectacular views of the surrounding area and impressive views of the sea and beaches.
We hope you had an unforgettable experience and you are welcome again. Doviđenja! Goodbye!

How long does passing through the canyon take?
The duration of passing through the canyon depends on the group size and physical condition of participants. For the average group (5-8 people ), passing takes about 3 hours.
What is the height of jumps?
Jumps are 2-8 m high.
Is it necessary to jump on each of the jumps?
Most of the jumps can be avoided ( alternative path ) or you can simply rope down.
What are the age limits for practising canyoning?
The lower limit is about 8 years, depending on the constitution of the child. The upper limit does not essentially exist, as long as someone feels capable of passing through Nevidio.
Where can we leave personal things while the canyoning lasts? Is it possible to carry some of the personal things like a mobile phone or car keys?
Things remain in the van parked near the canyon entrance. Although it is not recommended, it is possible to pack some of the personal things in waterproof bags.
What’s the necessary equipment that we should bring with us?
The only thing that is necessary is a swimming suit. It is recommended that you have a ready towel waiting for you in the van, on your return from the canyon.
Is it possible to come back from some positions in the canyon?
Return is possible only before the first jump, which is about 200-300 meters from the entrance of the canyon.
How many guides are there with the group?
It depends on the size of the group. On every 5-6 persons goes one guide. So, if the group counts, for example, 15 people, there will be 3 guides.
Can we go individually into the canyon?
Individual passing is not recommended because it could be extremely dangerous for people who do not know the canyon. In these cases, the tour ends with a rescue service coming to help people go out from the canyon.
Should I be a swimmer?
It is recommended that you are a swimmer since it will be easier both for you and for the guide, but if you are not, we have a solution for that. We provide life jackets and you do not have to jump, you can be carried by the rope
What if I do not have company for the canyon, and I would like to go?
With the consent of all participants, we combine smaller groups into one larger to achieve optimal group size which is between 6 and 8 people. It is only necessary to announce a couple of days in advance so that they can fit you into the group.
