Sarajevo & Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina
According to the itinerary
Enjoy Sarajevo through exploring and learning about the main cultural-historical sites of the core of Sarajevo, and enjoy the traditional Bosnian tastes and try traditional cuisine as well as panoramic sightseeing tour: Baščaršija, National Theater, City Hall, Inat house, Trg Sebilj, Kazandžiluk street, bridges at Miljacka, Basčaršija mosque from the 16th century, the old Orthodox Church, the Jewish temple and the synagogue.
Prepare yourself for one more amazing sightseeing to the historic town of Mostar. The historic town of Mostar developed in the 15th and 16th centuries as an Ottoman frontier town with The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century and protected by UNESCO, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most visited landmarks and is considered an exemplary piece of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.
Highlights of the tour:
At 9 o’clock, you will meet with the local tour guide at Sarajevo‘s main bus station or at your accommodation (as agreed, or according to the voucher).
With the local tour guide, you will visit all the significant spots of Sarajevo. The first stop on this tour will be in front of the Catholic cathedral of Jesus’s Sacred Heart, you will listen to the history and culture of the town. Nearby is located in the City Hall which will amaze you by its architectural style. Also, you will see the Latin bridge whose northern end was the site of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria by Gavrilo Princip in 1914, which became the casus belli of World War I.
Visit Sarajevo and not take a walk over the Baščaršija – not drink water from the famous Sebilj fountain, not wander around the narrow streets with a lot of coffee and craft shops – it is like you haven’t been in Sarajevo! It is the main square and the striking symbol of the town.
After touring Sarajevo, we head to Mostar.

After breakfast, the exploring of Mostar can start, the fifth-largest city in the country that lies on the Neretva River. The historic town of Mostar developed in the 15th and 16th centuries as an Ottoman frontier town and during the short Austro-Hungarian period in the 19th and 20th centuries. It was named after the bridge keepers (most are) who in medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most visited landmarks and is considered an exemplary piece of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.
Architecture is a real symbol of tolerance: a shared life of Muslims, Christians, and Jews. Mosques, churches, and synagogues existed side-by-side indicating that in this region, the Roman Catholic Croats with their Western European culture, the Eastern Orthodox Serbs with their elements of Byzantine culture, and the Sephardic Jews continued to live together with the Bosniaks – Muslims for more than four centuries.
You will have free time to explore the town yourself, to visit the famous bazaar and to try traditional coffee. The waiter brings the prepared coffee in the cezve (a small, long-handled pot with a pouring lip designed specifically to make Turkish coffee) and you pour the traditional cup called “fildzan” yourself. It is a special feeling, and you have to try it.
After exploring Mostar, we go to Imperial Vineyards, to learn about the traditions of Mostar Vineyards.
Imperial vineyards Mostar are located in Gnojnice, 12 kilometres far from Mostar, and cover an area of 100 ha. The best and number one quality wines of the region are produced in this area. A territory of Herzegovina is very rich in sunlight(on average 2300 hours of sunshine a year).
