The grace of the canyon Rikavac is stunning, and this phenomenon will leave you breathless with its steep cliffs and clear water. You will hike, follow the flow of the water, overcome several abseils up to 10m, jump in the water from 4m height, and have the pleasure to swim in the beautiful natural pools. It is definitely a place that should be visited.

DAY 1 Budva and Guided Sea kayaking Budva Riviera

In the morning, enjoy the fabulous Adriatic Coast and Budva Riviera by swimming and exploring the amazing beaches of Budva. At two o’clock in the afternoon, go to the starting point for your kayak adventure on the fabulous Adriatic Coast and Budva Riviera. The starting point is Slovenska Plaža (Beach), where you meet your kayaking guide and begin your fantastic kayak adventure along the coast of the Budva Riviera. You will start with a short safety briefing and demonstration of the basics of kayaking.

After briefing starts your kayaking, with swimming, cliff jumping and exploring amazing caves and beaches. You’ll row along the Budva Riviera, beyond the Budva Old Town walls and famous St Nikola Island as well as around the rocky shore with many caves in which you can paddle or swim. You will also have the possibility to take pictures of the beautiful ramparts of the Old town of Budva. You will make several stops on the many fine sandy beaches for swimming and snorkelling.
After kayaking, return to accommodation and leisure or take a delicious dinner on the Budva’s shore.

If there’s something you’d love to do in Budva, today is the day for it. You can wander across the Old Town, take a paraglider flight over Budva or even go to Budva Riviera daily Tour – by boat! Alternatively, enjoy this lazy morning before going to the beaches of Budva at a steady pace. In the evening, as the city starts to gear up for the nightlife, Gifts shopping can start!

DAY 3Budva – Bar & Explore Old Bar (Stari Bar)

After breakfast, you will have transport by bus from Budva to Bar. Check-in in your accommodation in Bar and prepare for the discovery of Old Bar (Stari Bar), located above the Bar and stretched up to the Rumija mountain and its canyons. Over the centuries, Stari Bar was taken over by the Venetians, Serbs, Hungarians, and the Ottoman Empire. It must have once been an impressive fortified town full of dedications to deities, magnificent buildings for the nobility, and a residential and business centre for the common people. For more than a millennium, it was an important part of this region. Today it lies in ruins.

If you would like to explore it with a local, we would recommend* the canyoning tour of Canyon Rikavac in the afternoon. Enjoy the stunning Canyon Rikavac, and this phenomenon with its cliffs and clean cold water will leave you breathless. With your canyoning guide, you will hike, follow the water flow, overcome several abseils up to 10m, jump in the water from 4m height, and have the pleasure to swim in the beautiful natural pools. The passage through the canyon will last about 3-4 hours.

After discovering Stari Bar take a delicious lunch in one of the old-fashioned restaurants in the narrow streets of Stari Bar. Walk to your accommodation, free time and overnight.

DAY 4Bar – Virpazar, Guided Skadar Lake Kayaking tour – train to Podgorica

After breakfast, check out. You’ll take a train to Virpazar and Lake Skadar. Guided kayaking on Skadar Lake will allow you to take a close look at one of the last freshwater marshes in the Mediterranean with the largest bird sanctuary and the last habitat for pelicans in Europe. An additional purpose of this kayaking is to experience the largest lake in the Balkans, its rich flora and fauna, history from various periods and different cultures that left their marks on all these areas. While floating through water-lily pads you’ll be able to see the numerous small islands with medieval fortifications and monasteries, rare bird species and a unique bond of history and nature.

The fisherman’s villages with authentic architecture, the beaches, coves and the opulent vegetation, carp and bleak as local specialities, Crmničko wine and Loza brandy – all of these make the magnificence of the region complete. During kayaking, you will have plenty of places and opportunities for swimming.

Before you’ll take the afternoon train to Podgorica taste a delicious lunch in some of Virpazar’s restaurants to have a free late afternoon to explore Montenegro’s capital city Podgorica. Spend the day exploring the city and local sights.

After your short break in Montenegro, it’s time to journey back home or continue the holiday.

Special information: If you haven’t had enough yet, why not join our “Mountain Xtrema Pack” tour which stretches to the northernmost parts of Montenegro, all the way to Durmitor and Black Lake. Alternatively, our “Mountain Hut Trek” tour goes closer to the north to Mount Bjelasica and the shores of Lake Biograd, ending again in Podgorica. Dates often coincide with the end of your tour.

Booking Confirmation & Voucher

Booking Confirmation:
Please confirm your booking following terms and conditions or contact the travel agency. Confirm booking within 7 days of the booking date by paying a 30% deposit, and the rest based on a payment plan. Confirm booking immediately upon booking if it’s less than 7 days before the scheduled departure for the tour by payment of the full amount.

NOTEIf you don’t confirm your booking within the stipulated period, your booking will be cancelled automatically. In that case, a new booking must be made, but then we don’t guarantee availability.

Increment policy is a practical strategy and idea aimed at increasing business sustainability associated with an already confirmed booking, built on a belief in, and respect for, the rights of a partner who made bookings as well as the Organizer.
The increment policy incorporates a strategy to meet partners’ needs “where they’re at,” to increase numbers of pax making a larger group (or smaller) as necessary addressing conditions of use along with the use of General Terms and Conditions for Partners and Travel Agencies.     
All of our customers who are travelling with Montenegro Adventure are supplied with useful material to ensure a worry-free, yet adventurous travel tour. Upon receipt of full payment, the customer receives an e-Voucher with all material delivered by e-mail which can be printed as PDFs or redeemed on mobile.

This e-Voucher includes:
• A detailed itinerary
• Copies of your travel vouchers and invoices
• A detailed map with your route, activities and stays marked

The customer is supposed to show either a paper or an e-Voucher to our staff or tour guide at the start of the tour.

Your 4-day tour does not include any meals. Other meals are not included and should be paid for separately, or locally on-site. In the itinerary, for each day, you can see separately which meals as well as what type of meals you will have.

Change & Cancellation Policy

All changes are subject to availability and a price increase or equivalent administrative charge imposed during the booking process.

  • For any type of change, please contact our Customer Center directly
  • The addresses or locations on the voucher are the places where you will be picked up and left.
  • Montenegro Adventure also reserves the right not to offer the tour if the ordered service differs too much from the service booked at the first opportunity. Changes made less than 7 days before the scheduled departure time are not allowed unless the transfer provider or destination requires otherwise.

  • Cancellation:
    The partner is entitled to cancel the tour and is required to inform the Montenegro Adventure. Cancellation can be made on our website or by e-mail: The date of the written cancellation is the basis for calculating the fee, according to the General Terms and Conditions of the Montenegro Adventure, expressed as a percentage of the total price, if it’s not otherwise stated, as follows:

    We advise all clients to take out cancellation insurance.

  • Any booking cancelled more than 61 days prior to arrival date pays a 10% fee.
  • Bookings cancelled between 60 and 30 days of arrival date pay a 25% cancellation fee.
  • Bookings cancelled between 29 and 12 days of arrival date pay a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Bookings cancelled less than 11 days from arrival date pay a 100% cancellation fee.

It is recommended to book as early as possible to guarantee availability – or at least seven days before departure for a tour.

If a trip is not confirmed yet, you can register on the waiting list and will be notified when the trip is officially confirmed, with guaranteed departure. We recommend not making final travel arrangements until your trip meets the minimum number of guests and is confirmed.

In most cases, if a trip does not reach the minimum number of guests, you may choose to transfer to another trip date or another trip, be refunded your payments in full, or you may have the choice to pay a supplemental fee to run the trip with fewer guests. We make the final determination for these trips 30 days before the departure date.

  •  Children with parents or guardians must be 2-12 years.
    Children under 7 years can’t participate in activities planned on this tour (see below children’s minimum age).

If you are under 18 you will need parental permission, unless you travel in the company of an adult (18 years of age or older).

Children’s minimum age:

Please, be sure to check in the travel program if the child’s age is limited. In most activities we offer, the minimum age for children is 7 years, but we also have tours where the age of the child is not limited.

However, children under 7 years (0-6 years) cannot do all the activities, and parents must always supervise them. If there is a possibility, we can arrange childcare if parents want to leave their younger children to stay with our staff.

The minimum age for Rafting, Canyoning, Walking or Trekking – is a child older than 7 years. Paragliding, Horseback riding and Quad (ATV) would be 10 years. The minimum age for Kayak, SUP and Rock Climbing is 12 years.

Good to Know

TIPPING (Gratuity, Bakhshish): Please note that tipping is customary in Montenegro since a service charge is not added to the bill for example meals at restaurants, taxi rides, and so on. However, a modest tip is always appreciated when left as a thank you to staff who have served you, for exceptional service on a guided tour or at a restaurant, for example. The staff will appreciate it and be grateful for your gesture.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is an easy/moderate difficult tour, with a few long sightseeing tours combined with wine tasting, multi-sport activities such as mountain, river rafting, and/or zip-lining. We recommend you be physically fit for the trip.
SUGGESTED PACKING LIST: Credit card, extra cash – euro € (currency), camera (possibly extra batteries and memory card), sunblock, sunglasses, sun hat or cap, swimwear and towel, sandals, waterproof bag (for your phone or camera), water bottle, smaller rucksack, flashlight/torch, personal first aid kit (possibly. hand sanitiser, mask).

CLOTHES: Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the tour. A hat or cap, sunscreen, and appropriate sun protection clothing are required during warmer months. A small umbrella or raincoat for rain will be useful in case of light rain. The weather in the mountains of Montenegro can be very unpredictable (warmer clothing for months other than summer). Please prepare for various weather conditions.
DON’T FORGET THE ESSENTIALS: Original passport, Certificate that you have been Covid 19 vaccinated, insurance card, personal medications, and other essentials you need during your stay.
