What to Expect
Prepare for an unforgettable dual-perspective adventure in one of Europe’s last untouched wildernesses. Your experience begins on the water, paddling through shimmering emerald pools and splash-filled rapids surrounded by ancient pine forests and sheer limestone cliffs. With certified skippers guiding your raft and top-grade safety equipment provided, no previous paddling background is needed to fully immerse yourself in the natural rhythm of the river.
At an astonishing 1,333 meters deep, the Tara Canyon reveals a scale and majesty that few places on Earth can match. Once you have absorbed its wild beauty from the water level, head up to the majestic arches of the Tara Bridge. Clip into the dual-flight zipline to soar straight across the canyon chasm at speeds up to 90 km/h, taking in sweeping 360-degree panoramas of the abyss beneath your feet before gliding safely back to the base.
We will meet 10 minutes before your rafting tour. Please check your voucher for your confirmed meeting time and exact point—whether at the Tara Bridge parking, Šljivansko, or another agreed spot.
After arriving at the meeting point, park your car, meet your crew, and gear up with your full safety equipment (neoprene suit, boots, life jacket, anorak, and helmet). Neoprene gear is essential, as the Tara River stays a refreshing 10–12°C even in peak summer. Once equipped, our vehicles will transfer you upstream to the launch point. Each raft includes a waterproof dry bag to keep your phones and cameras secure.
After this short journey, you will arrive at IV Logor, the starting point for whitewater rafting. Your rafting begins from the coast with a brief introduction to paddling practice and safety procedures led by your guide/skipper.
Push off into the emerald currents for a picturesque 6 km rafting journey from IV Logor to Šljivansko. Designed for pure enjoyment with minimal physical effort, this route lets you ride gentle rapids, soak in the pristine canyon landscape, and experience the pure magic of the Tara River at an easy, relaxing pace.
The rafting ride from IV Logor to Šljivansko lasts around 2 hours (depending on seasonal water levels) and winds through the heart of the majestic Tara Canyon. The route includes dedicated breaks for scenic photography, refreshing swims, and riverside snacks. A highlight of this section is a visit to the historic Premćanski suspension bridge, offering both spectacular sightseeing and an exhilarating bridge-jump challenge.
After enjoying your time at the Premćanski Suspension Bridge, we continue our gentle descent downstream. Drift through shimmering emerald swirls, pausing for refreshing swims and memorable photos along the way, before reaching Šljivansko—the finishing point of our river journey.
Our river adventure concludes at Šljivansko (II Logor), the official take-out point along the Tara. Once we dock, we will store the rafting gear and return all the specialised equipment. Grab a refreshing last swim, share your favorite moments from the descent, and soak in the towering canyon scenery. Enjoy a relaxed interlude by the scenic shores of Šljivansko.
Dedicated changing areas are available so you can get into dry clothing and freshen up comfortably. When you are ready, we will transfer you up to the launch platform near the Tara Bridge to gear up for the ultimate adrenaline rush on the Two-Way Zipline.
Meet the zipline crew at the base next to the Đurđevića Tara Bridge to begin your aerial adventure. Our certified instructors will conduct an introductory safety briefing and secure your specialised zipline harness and helmet. After a quick equipment check, walk over to the starting deck of the Big Zipline. Standing perched over Europe’s deepest canyon, you will be ready to launch into an exhilarating flight parallel to the historic bridge arches.
Step onto the launch deck perched beside the historic Đurđevića Tara Bridge and prepare for an unforgettable aerial journey. Stretching an impressive 850 meters directly across Europe’s deepest canyon, the Big Yellow Zipline sends you flying at exhilarating speeds of up to 90 km/h suspended over 150 meters above the turquoise riverbed. As you accelerate parallel to the monumental bridge arches, you will enjoy unobstructed, panoramic 360-degree views of dense pine forests, rugged limestone crags, and the wild canyon abyss below.
Arrive at the landing platform across the canyon, welcomed by our attentive team. Once unclipped, a quick transfer ride of a few hundred meters will bring you directly to the starting point of the Red Rock Zipline, positioning you for your 350-meter scenic return flight over the Tara River.
Clip in for your second flight of the day, soaring 350 meters back across the canyon toward the zipline platform. Cruising at an easy, enjoyable pace, the Red Rock line gives you plenty of time to take in the wonderful rock faces, gaze down at the crystal waters, and see the Tara Bridge’s colossal arches from a different perspective. You’ll have plenty of time to snap pictures before a safe landing.
Arrive safely at the Red Rock landing platform on the canyon lower slopes. Our ground staff will help you step off the line and collect your safety gear. From the landing site, our transfer vehicle will transport you directly back up to the main base by the Đurđevića Tara Bridge, where your car is parked and you can relax at the local cafe viewpoints.
