We begin our adventure at the designated meeting point: the parking lot located directly behind Motel Tara MB, situated at the edge of the iconic Đurđevića Tara Bridge. Here, you will be welcomed and introduced to the licensed onsite partners and skippers who will guide you through the canyon. This is the perfect time to ask final questions before we depart for the starting point.
We transport you a short distance upstream to Šljivansko (II Logor), the official launch site for the rafting tour. Upon arrival, our skippers will provide a comprehensive safety briefing and assist you in gearing up. You will be equipped with high-quality neoprene suits, boots, and safety vests to ensure comfort and warmth in the fresh river water.
The rafts launch into the crystal-clear waters of the Tara River. As we navigate the currents, we pass the spectacular Ljutica River, famous for being the shortest river in Europe and an incredibly powerful spring. The highlight of this leg is drifting directly beneath the colossal arches of the Đurđevića Tara Bridge, gazing up at the 170-meter architectural marvel from the water’s surface. We will make stops for swimming in the drinkable turquoise water and pausing to capture photos of the breathtaking scenery.
Our river journey concludes as we dock at Žugića Luka. Here, we disembark and take time to change out of our wet neoprene gear. You can relax by the riverbank and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the canyon before we prepare for the return trip.

We rafted the Tara River with Montenegro Adventure and it was amazing from start to finish. We were collected from our accommodation in Budva and driven up to the the rafting by Alden. The journey was beautiful and had the opportunity to take photos along the way. Alden also told us lots of interesting things about Montenegro. His passion for Montenegro made us so excited to be there! On arrival the lovely team helped us get ready for the rafting – they provided us with great wet suits. We rafted with two guides both of whom were brilliant!! They controlled the raft with so much skill- I was a bit scared at first but they made me feel completely comfortable!! They taught us how to raft through the rapids and most importantly they did everything they could to make the rafting as fun and exhilarating as possible for us!! After we ate delicious food and plenty of it. The team went above and beyond to make sure we had a brilliant day. It was the best day of our holiday and has us longing to go back to Montenegro Adventure for more experiences!! Thank you so much to the wonderful team.
